On the 31st of October, the Missionaries of Africa (M.Afr.) and the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa (MSOLA) gathered at the Generalate of the M.Afr. in Rome, Italy, with great excitement and gratitude to God to celebrate the beginning of the bicentenary anniversary of the birth of their founder Cardinal Charles Martial Allemand Lavigerie.
On the 2nd of August 2024, the faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Wa, had the joy of witnessing a very rare ceremony, the Episcopal Ordination of their new Shepherd, Bishop Francis Bomansaan. This ceremony quenched their thirst for a leader, since the death of late Bishop, Cardinal Richard Baawobr, M.Afr. on the 27th of November 2022.
Today we have started the session on the safeguarding of minors and persons in situations in vulnerability, at the Lavigerie Missionary Center, in Kigali (Rwanda). This worshop is organized by the General Council of the Society of the Missionaries of Africa. Twenty-five confreres from all over the world are taking part in this training.
